It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like a Hotel Suite!

The hotel suite is coming together with basic furnishings arrival!  Beginning in January, Disability Achievement Center will accept students with disabilities into the job training program that teaches the requisite skills to obtain employment in the hospitality industry!  Did you know that the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports approximately 62.9% of individuals with disabilities are not a part of the workforce?

It’s Christmas at DAC!

We are feeling festive today as we prepare to celebrate Christmas with our Board of Directors, Staff, and Volunteers!  The ham and turkey are in the oven and the side dishes are being prepared.  We want to take this moment to wish you and yours all the love, joy, and hope that this season brings!

First Greens Harvested From DAC’s New Garden

The Independent Living Skills & Social Group enthusiastically built containers and planted a variety of vegetables, herbs, and greens, diligently watered them, and were excited to harvest the fruits of their labor!  Chef Donna who taught the Cooking Matters class graciously returned to whip the harvest into a yummy and nutritious dish that everyone enjoyed!  We look forward to future harvests!
